The horrifying incidents of child abuse and molestations, the relentless kidnappings, the medical negligence, the food adulterations, the ever growing list of deadly diseases, the chronic illnesses, not to forget the 'unpredictable accidents' (choking, drowning, fractures, head injuries, etc) makes us restless, worried and disturbed, more so for our helpless and innocent children.

Mohammed bin Salman: Islam is a religion of peace. This is the translation of Islam. God, in Islam, gives us two responsibilities: The first is to believe, to do good things, and not bad things. If we do bad things, God will judge us on Judgment Day. Our second duty as Muslims is to spread the word of God. For 1,400 years, Muslims have been trying to spread the word of God. In the Middle East, in North Africa, in Europe, they weren’t allowed to spread the word. That’s why they fought to spread the word. But you also see that, in a lot of countries in Asia—Indonesia, Malaysia, India—Muslims were free to spread the word. They were told, “Go ahead, say whatever you want to say, the people have free will to believe whatever they want to believe in.” Islam, in this context, was not about conquering, it was about peacefully spreading the word.

These days, everyone seem to be inspecting and scrutinizing Saudi Arabia and it's esteemed scholars. But who is it that has given them the right to do so, a question that can never be answered. While we continue to ignore our stained and crumpled shirts, yet observe the slightly worn-out collars of others. We all stand enthusiastically in the queue, as commentators, reformers and scholars - judging Saudi Arabia.
The video of a Saudi Imam getting arrested from the pulpit during the Friday sermon has gone viral, giving Saudiphobes a new bashing tool. The descriptions say, 'he was cursing Jews so was he arrested', 'he spoke against Government's corruption so was he arrested', 'he spoke against Government's decision on Cinema, so was he arrested'.
I have seen two extremes. One extreme calls to absolutely stay away from politics, not even to talk about the news concerning Muslims and the trials Muslims face everyday. And the other extreme calls for forming political parties, rallying and speaks out to give them the charge to rectify the affairs of Muslims. However, I have found a balanced Fatwa of Shaykh Albani which shows moderation in taking part in political discussions.
I have Cymophobia and I am not at all comfortable in boating into the deep waters. The thoughts of drowning and eaten up by the Sharks scare me a lot. However, I cannot force my opinion on a professional diver who has spent years in diving and teaching it. I cannot scare him about Sharks and call him ‘arrogant’ for not accepting my opinion based on my personal phobia.
